Program of Study

The following program progression is based on a full-time student who has not transferred courses taken previously to enrolling at 91¶¶Ňő.

Students may enroll full-time or part-time! All students are strongly encouraged to work with their advisor to create their individual pathway.

Transfer credits can shorten your program of study. Please reference the Transfer Credit Policy in the Academic Catalog

There are a total of 71 credits in the Associate of Science in Nursing program.

Pre-Enrollment

You will receive credit by examination via the HESI for the two courses listed below. This will total 17 credits by examination.

NUR 1015 Fundamental Health Concepts (9 credits)
NUR 2000 Family Centered Nursing (8 credits)

Semester 1

The following courses are taken in your first semester. There are 14 credits in Semester 1. 

ANA 1010 ANA 1010: Anatomy & Physiology I (4 credits)
ETH 1010 Healthcare Ethics (3 credits)
HUM 1010 Introduction to Humanities (3 credits)
PSY 1010 Introductory Psychology (3 credits)
SCI 1010 Medical Terminology for ASN (1 credit)

Semester 2

The following courses are taken in your second semester. There are 14 credits in Semester 2.

ANA 1120 Anatomy & Physiology II (4 credits)
HUM 2000 Humanities Elective (3 credits)
PSY 2010 Human Growth & Behavior (3 credits)
MIC 2201 Microbiology for Healthcare Professionals (4 credits)

Semester 3

The following courses are taken in your third semester. There are 14 credits in Semester 3.

THE 2000 Theology Elective (3 credits)
NUR 1035 Health and Illness Concepts of the Adult (11 credits)

Semester 4

The following courses are taken in your fourth semester. There are 12 credits in Semester 4.

Once you complete the Associate in Science in Nursing program, you may sit for the NCLEX-RN examination to earn your RN credentials.
