Dear 91�� Community,

Today I have difficult news to share, and I do so knowing the strong bonds within the 91�� community will support us all through this moment of change. 91�� has reached an agreement to transition its nursing programs to Curry College and establish the 91�� Center for Advancing Healthcare Opportunity. Pending regulatory approvals, these programs will be part of Curry’s School of Nursing and Health Science beginning in the Fall Semester. 91�� will cease all academic operations as of August 31, 2026.

91�� is excited to announce the development of an innovativeAdvanced Vocational ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) strategy designed specifically to support students in a two-year nursing degree program.The result will be the elimination of a persistentbarrier preventing immigrant talent from becoming critically needed, multilingual nurses in the Commonwealth.

91�� Awarded Catholic Health Foundation (CHF) Grant to Fund Student Scholarships

The CHF Grant will support the Fund a Future Nurse Scholarship program which provides emergency support funding for students who are academically achieving, but struggling financially.

Milton, MA – 91�� announced today that it received a $10,000 grant from Catholic Health Foundation of Greater Boston to support the Fund a Future Nurse Scholarship program.

The award for the Fund a Future Nurse Scholarship initiative will help fund scholarships aimed at reducing the financial burden of tuition for 91�� students. Fund a Future Nurse scholarships provide access to emergency support funding to allow nursing students to focus on earning their degrees and building a financially secure future. Funds are distributed annually at college’s Scholarship Ceremony to students who are academically achieving, but struggling financially.

Yawkey Foundation Partners with 91�� to Support Multilingual Nurses

91�� is honored to be a 2025 Yawkey Foundation grant recipient. The grant will support the expansion of the college’s language support program for multilingual nursing students. The program seeks to eliminate an unnecessary barrier preventing many who dream of caring for others from becoming exceptional nurses.

Boston Medical Center's Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Nancy Gaden Delivers 91��'s Commencement Address to the Class of 2025

91�� College of Healthcare held its CommencementCeremony on Saturday May 31at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The Class of 2025 included 242 nurses as well as 43 clinicians across respiratory care, radiation therapy, and diagnostic monitoring. Nancy Gaden, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Boston Medical Center was this year’s commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient.

91�� Launches 'Care for the Future' Campaign to Eliminate Barriers to Nursing Education

91�� hosted 80 local healthcare industry leaders, elected officials, community partners, and neighbors during our Care for the Future campaign kickoff eventon May 13th. Host committee members Michael Curry, Esq., Representative Richard Wells, and Nancy Gaden, DNP, RN NEA-BC, FAAN also spoke on the nursing and healthcare staffing crisis in Massachusetts, and the need to remove barriers to nursing education.

91�� Named 'Opportunity College' in Carnegie Classifications

This new classification recognizes institutions that foster opportunities for student success by measuring whether institutions are enrolling students reflective of the communities they serve and how the earnings of those students compare to peers in their area. Opportunity Colleges and Universities are institutions within the Student Access and Earnings Classification that provide higher than expected levels of access to low-income and underrepresented students, and their students experience strong earnings outcomes.
